I'll bring up a point I made in the 'time for anet to deliver what they promised' thread

So.....this awkward silence is brought to you by Gaile, who right now is yet again put in the impossible situation (by the devs), where she can't even do her job. She *should* be right out front just saying what the deal is.....I don't think anyone is demanding the details, just a basic statement about if Ch 4 is going to be on time, or if not, what the general plan is.

But the silence says a lot. I sometimes feel bad for Gaile, because the devs are making her look like an arse. She's covered for miscommunications and broken promises by the devs so many times. But now she can't even make a false promise -- I believe she's been told not to address this, because I'm pretty much sure she's aware of this.

The thing is, even if we don't get to see that NCsoft statement, do you still believe we'll get C4 by the end of April?

Come on, let's get real. It's nearly in the middle of February already and we still haven't heard ANYTHING about C4 at all, not even a tiny bit of hint.

Usually we'd heard about the new chapter 4 months before released (with 2 beta events), so I'd say we won't get C4 until around.....June at best.

Whether it was official or not, it can still be delayed. It happens all the time.

I don't mind the delay as I've already stated, I think it works in everyones favor for the most part and will make it that much more wanted when it is released

Excuse me, the only thing that IS official is that there would be only be one new chapter to be released in 2007.

So you're using old information. And it has no official release date and 2007 is still a long year. Having no information in February doesn't mean there won't be a new chapter...

In context of the paragraph for which it was written, a new major update to the franchise would mean another chapter, the paragraph is talking about game releases, not technical or visual upgrades to games

it was never set in stone that they had to put out 2 games a year, thats what they were going to try, but sometimes plans change

however I would find it hilarious if they do a dual launch with two new campaigns on the same day

I'm also happy it's being delayed. Will give me more time to catch up. Honestly, if you don't buy the latest chapter just as it comes out, you're way behind all of a sudden.

Two things:

First, check the most recent Gaile log on GWOnline from Sunday: http://guildwars.incgamers.com/forum...d.php?t=442151. She states clearly that she is aware of the mention of the update in the NCSoft financial report but is not aware that they have anything of the sort planned.

Second, in a followup message on that thread she also says she expects that there will be news about the next chapter soon.

Actually, that's not such a bad idea. That hadn't even occurred to me as a possibility, but it's pretty interesting.

It's the same money whether it's two at once or one every six months. Or you could just buy one of the two (crazy I know) at first.

CHAPTER 4 : JULY

Would be a suitable time frame. But if it was left past this to Q4 "end-of-year-ish time" , that would indicate to me that somethings amiss.

A new chapter in the thick of this New Year, would be a fantastic treat ! and a postive sign for all of us.

It's far too early for people to be getting all paranoid about the ifs , mights and mabyes of the future of Guild Wars.

I think what happens is people come to a point where they themself cannot see where things should go, and what needs to

be done, so they assume that NC Soft and the developers are thinking along the same lines

Well , this is not how it works. NC Soft Staff are professional, highly paid, highly skilled creatives who are the absolute market leaders in their profession.

They have this baby sorted !, make no mistake. Leave the progression and creative leaps up to the dev'sleading GVP Guild.

That is not im imply do not make suggestions!, not at all. What it does mean is stop doubting that things aren't under full and complete control. !

Otherwords, enjoy the game, relax in the knowledge that GW's is being worked on and nurtured by a team of professionals,

who's creative idea's and list of forthcoming implementations,idea's and concepts too be added to forthcoming Guild Wars

The only thing we do know is that chapter 4, has been in the works since somewhat after Factions release.
